Full Installation Tutorial
This installation tutorial will provide a detailed explanation of how to install Directory Lister to your web server.
Software you will need
Before getting started, you will need to download and install an FTP client. Here are a few free ones I know of:
This tutorial will assume you are using WinSCP with the Explorer interface, but the same general ideas work with all FTP clients.
Step 1 - Download latest version
Click the "Download Directory Lister" button at the top right of this page to download the latest version of Directory Lister.
Step 2 - Extract files
Right click on directory-lister-latest.zip and select "Extract All..."
On the Extraction Wizard welcome screen hit Next
If you wish to extract to a different location, browse for that location, then hit Next. Otherwise, just hit Next.
Make sure the "Show extracted files" is checked and hit Finish.
You should now see a folder containing the Directory Lister files.
Step 3 - Upload Directory Lister files
Open WinSCP and connect to your server.
Navigate to the remote directory you want to list.
Drag index.php and the .directory-lister folder from the already open folder into the folder in WinSCP.

Step 4 - Upload other files
Upload any files you would like to be listed to the same directory as index.php.
NOTE: Make sure not to overwrite index.php or Directory Lister will not work.
Step 5 - View the page
Open your favorite web browser and navigate to your page. If Directory Lister was properly installed you should see a listing of all containing files/folders.
